A pilha está no distrito de Kandal Steung, na província de Kandal, Camboja. Kaing Guek Eav, também conhecido por "Duch", comandante da infame prisão de Toul Sleng, admitiu, hoje, a responsabilidade por seus atos, no segundo dia de uma sessão do tribunal apoiado pela ONU para julgar os autores das torturas e execuções de milhares de cambojanos, colegas de cárcere em Toul Sleng. A pequena pilha, a 17 milhas de de Phnom Penh, é um dos monumentos dos "campos da morte". Eu diria aqui, com toda a firmeza, que os campos da morte, as barbáries de Pol Pot, chefe do Khmer Vermelho, foram o Holocausto asiático. Infelizmente, sem o mesmo apelo, propaganda e reverência do Holocausto judeu.
